Feng Shui North Shore Auckland: Slopes, Coastal Edges and Property Position
Updated: Sep 30
NORTH SHORE AUCKLAND · SLOPE · ACCESS · COASTAL EDGE · POSITION
For North Shore Auckland property decisions, the most useful Feng Shui questions begin outside the front door: how the land rises or falls, how the road approaches the site, what supports the rear of the property, where movement gathers, and whether the building feels held or exposed.
Why site position matters
Across established and newer North Shore neighbourhoods, properties can vary greatly in elevation, driveway geometry, retaining, outlook and relationship to nearby roads or open space. A similar floor plan can therefore behave very differently from one site to another.
My working sequence is Form → Position → Shi → Flow → Human. I first assess the wider setting, then move inward to entrance hierarchy, circulation, living spaces, bedrooms and work areas.
Useful for buying, renovating and comparing properties
This type of assessment is especially useful before purchase, when comparing two properties, or before a renovation changes the entrance, internal movement or relationship between the home and its site.
