When Does a Road Actually Matter in Feng Shui? — New Zealand
A road pointing toward a house can attract attention quickly when looking at a New Zealand property. But the road shape alone is not enough to make a Feng Shui judgement.
What matters is how the road, terrain and building relate to one another on the actual site.
Start With the Direction of Movement
I first look at where movement is really coming from and how it meets, passes or leaves the property. A road can look direct on a map and behave differently at ground level.

Distance and Level Change the Reading
Distance matters. So does whether the road sits above, below or roughly level with the site. These differences can change the relationship before we even consider the internal floor plan.

Terrain Can Change the Whole Relationship
Many New Zealand properties sit within noticeable changes of level. Surrounding land can strengthen, soften or redirect how road movement relates to the building.
That is why I do not judge a road in isolation.

A Property Is a Relationship, Not a Checklist
I look at direction, distance, relative level, speed, scale, terrain and building position before deciding whether the road is actually significant.
The road is a feature. The relationship determines the judgement.
